For many, memories of plays and performances are among their favourite school memories. In Quesnel many former students owe those happy memories to a beloved music, band and drama teacher, Mrs. Halleran who began teaching in Quesnel in 1956. Best remembered as the music director at Cariboo High School and for the many productions they put on, her family donated her personal collection of scrapbooks and photographs to our archives.
Rehearsals for the Cariboo Revue, 1959.
Mrs. Halleran received this telegram from her son, Terry, in 1964. He once drove all the way to Lillooet to pick up costumes to ensure they arrived in Quesnel on time for her musical revue after a derailment on the P.G.E. line interrupted their delivery.
