1959 Wells Ski Tournament
The ski hill in Wells has since closed and today local downhill skiers enjoy the facilities at Troll Resort. Located 44 km east of Quesnel, this area was pre-empted in 1863 and a roadhouse and farm established. The roadhouse quickly became known for great food and for its proprietor, “Bloody Edward” Edwards, so called for his frequent use of the word “bloody”.
